www.inishturkbeg.com Back in September 2010, 7 visual artists were invited to an art residency on Inishturkbeg. The intention was to harness their creativity in capturing the beauty and inspiration of the island; Life Vividly Lived (Part 2) showcased their work. The exhibition was held at Monster Truck Gallery in Dublin in collaboration with the Royal Hibernian Academy and Inish Turk Beg. The exhibition features works by Nick Miller, Nina Tanis, Ruth E. Lyons, Eilis O'Connell, Michele Considine, David Farrell and Shoichi Sakurai. Curator: Patrick T. Murphy, Director, Royal Hibernian Academy Peter Prendergast, Monster Truck Gallery and Studies Kindly hosted by Nadim Sadek, Chief Islander, Inish Turk Beg Inishturkbeg is an island off the coast of County Mayo in Clew Bay, with glorious 360 degree views with only the natural curvature of the earth interrupting the view to the west. The energy of the island leads to a passion to do everything with a bit of a tilt! This is seen in all the Inish Turk Beg brand projects: Artisan food, Maiden Voyage Inish Turk Beg single malt whiskey, a stud farm and the Brilliant Irish Flute series. The island also has several houses that have been exquisitely designed and decorated and are available for corporate or leisure stays; water sports, fishing, horse riding, ball games, target practice, clay pigeon shooting, animal husbandry, swimming, arts and crafts, day trips off the island and simply soaking in the atmosphere with long walks around ...
